Unloading System
The Sukup unloading system consists of an unloading auger with a drive unit, a center sump, and a number of intermediate outlets, all operated from the outside. The 8" and 10" models are currently supplied with an independent side discharge, which is used if the center discharge becomes blocked (unclean grain).
In addition to the unloading auger, a sweep auger is installed, making the silo almost 100% self-emptying. The sweep auger is most often supplied as part of the complete unloading system but can also be delivered with its own separate motor.
The sweep auger flighting and the drive wheel are geared at a 4:1 ratio as standard.
This means the drive wheel runs four times slower than the auger flighting, thereby preventing unnecessary wear on the floor.
The drive station for the unloading system is available in three models:

Betjening
The unloading auger is started, and the center discharge is opened via remote control. The center discharge leaves a cone of grain in the silo.
The intermediate discharges are opened using the remote control, after which access to the center discharge can be gained through the silo’s access door.
The sweep auger is started, and after one round across the silo floor, the silo is almost 100% empty.
