Stirring System
With the Sukup stirring system, you can efficiently dry and store moist grain in outdoor storage bins with grain depths of up to 7.5 m.
The system operates via a horizontally suspended boom that is self-propelled. Mounted on the boom are 2–4 stirring augers (and optionally a fixed auger along the wall), which continuously lift grain from the bottom of the silo, ensuring powerful and complete mixing of the entire silo contents.
The stirring system requires minimal maintenance. Complete agitation is ensured as the augers operate in a “flower pattern” rather than following the same track—similar to cross-harrowing in a field.
All electrical components are CE-approved and assembled at Sukup Europe’s own warehouse, where functional quality control is carried out before packing in a transport frame.

Operation
Stirring should be started as soon as approximately 1 meter of grain has been filled in an even layer across the entire silo.
At the same time as the grain is being stirred, warm air is introduced through the fully perforated aeration floor in the silo. This ensures completely uniform drying of the grain.
Airflow is increased by up to 33% due to the stirring process.
Because the grain is continuously mixed, no “wet” spots occur in the silo. It also makes it possible to achieve a perfect blend of, for example, barley and wheat directly in the silo.
